Timothy Paul Jones is a professor and vice president at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, one of the largest seminaries in the world. For more than thirty years, he has served in pastoral and associate ministry roles, and he currently serves as one of the pastors at the Midtown congregation of Sojourn Church.

He is the cohost of The Apologetics Podcast and has authored or contributed to over twenty books in the fields of apologetics and family ministry. His published works include the award-winning How We Got the Bible and Christian History Made Easy. His academic research in apologetics focuses on the psychology of faith and the historical reliability of the New Testament Gospels.

Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in church history and New Testament studies, and a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies.
